\"salgoodcroped\"Salgood Sam<\/a> is a comics artist with over 25 years experience<\/a> crafting sequential art for both love and money<\/a>. He\u2019s worked as Work For Hire talent<\/a>, as well as an editor and restoration artist of classic comics. And in recent years has financed his independent graphic novels through grants and crowdfunding. And is personally familiar with nearly all aspects of the artform.<\/p>\n

Starting early in the 90s he was employed by Marvel and DC comics as a freelancer on titles like \u2018Saint Sinner\u2019, \u2018Clive Barker’s Nightbreed\u2019, \u2018Dr Strange\u2019, \u2018Morbius the Living Vampire\u2019, \u2018Ghostrider 2099\u2019, \u2018Spiderman 2099\u2019, \u2018Wonder Woman\u2019, \u2018Ghostbusters\u2019, And \u2018Terminator\u2019.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s best known today for his work on \u2018Sea of Red\u2019 [Image] and the graphic novels \u2018Therefore, Repent!<\/a>\u2019 [IDW\/NMK] & \u2018Dream Life | a late coming of age<\/a>\u2019 [Spilt Ink<\/a>\/Kickstarter<\/a>]. He also lent a hand restoring Frank King\u2019s classic comic strip Gasoline Alley for Drawn and Quarterly, and currently self publishes his own comics anthology series \u2018Revolver Quarterly<\/a>\u2019, showcasing a wide variety of drawing and narrative styles. And as an independent publisher he\u2019s run three successful crowdfunding campaigns.<\/p>\n

Additionally he helped found both the Monthly Toronto Comic Jam, & Monthly Montreal Comic Jam<\/a>. The comics news site Sequential<\/a>, and is the recipient of three grants and served as a Peer Juror for the Canadian Council for the Arts judging graphic novel grant applications.<\/p>\n
